Kubernetes certifications like CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) and CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) are increasingly requested in software engineering job listings. But what are they? Why should you take them?, And how can you prepare and stand out?

Join us for an informative session with Travis Johnson, a Level 3 Engineer at Convo and a DHHWG member, who successfully passed both exams. Travis will share his journey, explain the benefits of obtaining Kubernetes certifications, the difference between CKA and CKAD, strategies for balancing work and professional development commitments, and share lessons learned and tips to help you succeed and become the next (maybe even first?) deaf Kubestronaut.

This session will be primarily presented in American Sign Language (ASL). We welcome everyone to engage and ask questions in ASL or IS (International Sign Language) during the meet-and-greet and Q&A sessions. If you prefer, you can also ask questions in written form!
